Listed below are the minimum materials and requirements Web Communications will need in order to begin production on your site. If you have any questions about these specifications, please contact us.
1: Liaison
Please identify a single point of contact we can work with during the website development. This person will be our contact for all content, edits, and approvals.
Barbara Childs or Deana Waddell will be your liaison from the Web Communications offices. If you have comments or questions during any point in the site development, please contact us.

2: Content
Developing web content is often the lengthiest and most difficult step in creating a website. The following are a few requirements to help smooth this process.
- Content for phase 1 must be drafted (in an electronic format), proofread, and approved before production begins. We request that content be placed in folders labeled to match the site map, and then burned on a disc. Please read through all content. If information is taken from the current site, you must read through it thoroughly and make sure all of the information is correct and the links are still valid. Content for subsequent phases must follow the same process before production begins on the next phase.
- If you have a communications professional within your organization, copy should be passed through this individual before sending it to Web Communications.
- If you do not have a communications professional within your organization, there are two alternatives:
- Web Communications can help you identify a communications contractor to aid in content development.
- You can gather data points for each section of your website and send them to your Web Communications liaison who will take your data points and draft content for your approval.
*Please note: Due to limited internal resources your content will be drafted on a first-come first-served basis.
3: Photos
Please send (in electronic format, jpeg, 300 dpi or better)
- At least one professional photo that represents your organization. The photo could be of buildings, students in the classroom, students working/interning in their profession, etc. If you have several photos for this purpose, we can rotate the images on the homepage. We also use photos on secondary pages.
- No dated photos. A good guideline is nothing older than 1995.
- Note: If you do not have any photos suitable for your website, our professional campus photographers may be able to identify file photos that are appropriate or they be contracted to take new photos — for a fee. Web Communications can help arrange the photo sessions and give guidance on the type of images we are looking for. Visit Photo Services for information.
4: Graphics/Logos
Please send in electronic form any graphics/logos (e.g. accreditation symbol) that need to be included in the design of your site.
