Application Procedures for an Athletic Training Graduate Internship
The application process for admission is competitive and merely completing the application process does not guarantee an internship position within Athletic Training.

Applicants must be admitted to the UNLV Graduate College and to a Graduate Degree Program (Kinesiology, etc.).  You can obtain the application materials and information outlining the application procedures on the UNLV Graduate College website: http://graduatecollege.unlv.edu

Each candidate for the athletic training internship must complete the following:

1. Regular admission into the UNLV Graduate College.

2. Regular admission into a Graduate Degree Program (Kinesiology, etc.). 

2. You must obtain a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a minimum undergraduate G.P.A. of 2.75 on a 4-point scale.

3. You must be NATABOC certified or eligible for certification.

4. You must have a minimum GRE score of 1000.

5. Send a letter stating interest in the position, current resume, copy of your transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and a copy of your GRE score of at least 1000 to:

These materials should be submitted not later than March 1st of each year.  Selections will be made until all positions are filled.  Contracts will start July 1st of each year.  These are two-year appointments.  

Graduate interns (certified athletic trainers) must be state licensed in order to work in the state of Nevada.   More information regarding state licensure can be found at the following websites.
